SOLFUL
Wondering what SOLFUL is really all about? Well, to be perfectly honest, it is about loving our neighbors in Fullerton, without reserve or condition. It is about our own opportunities to grow deeper with Jesus, to see where God is moving in our neighborhoods and join in. It is about building relationships. Tangibly, it looks like organized chaos of the most exciting variety. Throughout these 5-7 weeks of summer, you will see activities taking place around the city. Here is a brief overview of what will be going on:

SolFul starts June 24th and lasts 4-7 weeks, 3 neighborhood sites, 9 programs, 4-5 days a week. In 2012, we had over 128 volunteers, with 14 church communities. Prayerfully consider how God might be asking you to join in with him in what he will be doing with the kids of Fullerton this Summer.

What is SOLFUL?
This summer YOU have the opportunity to BE the church to one of three neighborhoods in Fullerton where California budget cuts have forced the closure of summer school and given thousands of children nowhere to go. For 5-7 weeks we have the chance to seek the welfare of the city and it’s people by engaging the children of Fullerton through exciting and fun programs centered in Art, Sports and Education!
WHEN: SUMMER 2013
WHERE: Garnet Community (Placentia Ave. & Garnet Ln.), Maple Community (Lemon Ave. & Valencia Ave.), Richman Community (Valencia Ave. & Highland Ave.), Valencia Park
WHO: You and churches representing the church of the city.
SolFul is an initiative started by Fullerton Advocating Community Transformation (Fullerton ACT) which is an open forum amongst Christ-centered community leaders that encourage one another to take steps in transforming the Fullerton community. Fullerton ACT also works with the City of Fullerton through the Fullerton Collaborative to present the needs of the city to our church communities. SolFul: Summer of Love Fullerton is one of our first opportunities to unify as the church of the city and build relationships with one another and our communities.
